Summary
Rich Ice Cream is seeking 1st shift and 2nd shift, Level 1 and/or Level 2, Industrial Mechanics to join our team in West Palm Beach, Florida. The right candidates will have the ability to maintain the smooth functioning of our production line through repairing, maintaining, and installing automated and manual equipment used in the production of Ice Cream Products.
This position will utilize mechanical and problem-solving skills while working closely with the Operations team, Receiving team, Warehouse and Inventory team, Food Safety team, and Maintenance team in the production/manufacturing of products by following GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) throughout the process.
Duties and Responsibilities
Level 1 and Level 2
- Monitor production lines and make necessary adjustments or repairs as needed.
- Rebuild component parts of machinery when necessary.
- Follow the preventative maintenance program by doing the assigned work and filling out the proper paperwork.
- Inspect and report potential equipment failure to Supervisor.
- Work closely with Machine Operators, Production Managers and Sanitation to keep the machinery in the best possible running condition.
- Follow food safety rules, plant GMP's and safe working practices.
- Must be able to work flexible schedules which includes nights and weekends.
Qualifications
Level 1
- Knowledge of mechanical
- Knowledge of either pneumatic, or electrical (industrial level) control systems.
- Ability to diagnose, repair, disassemble and reassemble motors, gear heads, pumps, air cylinders, etc.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, SOP's, operating and maintenance instructions and equipment manuals.
Level 2
- A strong understanding of industrial mechanic principles to maintain and repair a variety of equipment.
- Expertise in working with pneumatic and electrical (industrial level) control systems.
- Proficiency in diagnosing, repairing, disassembling, and reassembling mechanical components like motors, gear heads, pumps, and air cylinders.
- Ability to effectively troubleshoot control circuits, interpret wiring diagrams, and understand the operation of VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), servo control systems, and motor starters.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and apply information from various technical documents including safety rules, SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), operating and maintenance instructions, and equipment manuals.
Education
Level 1 and Level 2
- High School diploma or GED
Experience
Level 1
- Minimum of 3-years’ experience in production environment
- Starting $33 - $35
Level 2
- Minimum of 5-years’ experience in production environment
- Starting $36 - $40
