Candidates must meet U.S. person requirements (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or other protected individual). The position is expected to be based primarily in Warsaw, Poland, for an 18+ month assignment. Further position details will be provided during screening. JOB SUMMARY: The Manufacturing Project Lead is responsible for leading a cross functional team of manufacturing operations personnel in support of various programs with ownership of cost and schedule. The Project Lead role will support one or more programs and report to the Manufacturing Program Manager. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manages the proposal, execution, and closure of Projects.
- Responsible for preparing manufacturing bids for new business proposals and/or request for information
- Develop, maintain and lead a team to execute manufacturing and material schedules
- Manage manufacturing cost accounts; and report findings of earned value data
- Support material management and manufacturing support staff
- Communicate program status to program managers, manufacturing, business leadership and customers.
- Implements new manufacturing systems including generating supporting operational documentation
- Develop and monitor budget requirements; control expenditures to meet approved budgets including direct/indirect salary, indirect non-salary and, capital expenditure.
- Ensure American Rheinmetall policies are being practiced by all personnel; make recommendations and implement procedures to improve quality.
- Assists engineering and plants in the evaluation of new manufacturing systems
- Interfaces with engineering departments, quality control, manufacturing, purchasing or other groups as required in order to complete project plans

- Must be able to communicate effectively in a variety of settings
- Must demonstrate an enthusiasm to engage with and support overseas colleague; both written and verbally
- High level of self-motivation and standards with the ability to multi-task
- Must be able to coordinate and perform more complex cross functional tasks in support of the operations/manufacturing organization
- Must be able to lead the development of more complex manufacturing and operations plans, schedules, and facilitates assigned projects
- Represent the organization as the prime production/manufacturing representative contact on contracts, projects, and proposals
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to be the primary point of contact for cost/schedule performance and resource data management
- Ability to maintain capital equipment and overhead budget requirements
- Ability to coordinate designs with manufacturing engineering to ensure the practicality of the design and assists in the solution of production difficulties encountered in manufacturing
- Must be able to review and approve specifications and drawings for technical accuracy and content as applicable
- Ability to assist in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Understanding of mechanical and electrical designs to drive Producibility and cost reduction principles.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Manufacturing or Business Administration
- 5-7 years of relevant experience. Automotive and ground combat vehicle experience.
- Experience working in DoD and/or Military Operations required
- Experience working as a Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification, reference checks and controlled substance testing.
- Master's Degree Engineering/Operations and/or Master's Business Administration
- 5-7 years of relevant experience as a Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Continuously Sitting
- Ability to travel up to 15%
- Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
