Description
The Village of Milford is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Director of Public Services for Wastewater Treatment Plant Operations.
Under the general direction of the Public Services Director, serves as the operator in charge of the Village's Class B wastewater treatment plant, including assisting with the planning, directing, and supervision of all aspects of the plant's operations, including leading and mentoring 3 full-time staff members assigned to the plant.
Other responsibilities for this key leadership position include assisting with long-range capital planning, assisting with other operations within the Department of Public Services, serves as a source of technical knowledge for Village Administration and Elected Officials.
This position is full time and regularly scheduled overtime/on-call is required (weekends included).

Requirements

- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Five or more years of progressively more responsible experience in wastewater treatment or a related field.
- State of Michigan Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record.
- State of Michigan Wastewater Operator Class B License.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of municipal public works operations, sewer and water systems, and more.
- A strong emphasis on safety and demonstrate good judgement and initiative.
