Assistant Golf Course Superintendent Boca Royale Golf & Country Club - Englewood, Florida Position Overview
Boca Royale Golf & Country Club is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to support daily maintenance operations on our recently renovated championship golf course. This position plays a key leadership role in delivering exceptional playing conditions, efficient crew management, and high-level agronomic execution .

The Assistant Superintendent will work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent to implement agronomic programs, supervise staff, and maintain the high standards expected by our membership.
About the Facility

• 18-hole, par-71 championship course (~6,600 yards)
• Full-course renovation completed in 2024 (Gordy Lewis design)
• Seashore Paspalum (Platinum TE) throughout
• Active membership with high expectations for daily conditions

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and execution of all golf course maintenance operations
• Supervise and train maintenance staff; assign daily tasks and ensure quality control
• Participate in and oversee:
  • Mowing and course setup
  • Fertility and chemical applications
  • Irrigation scheduling and water management
• Ensure proper and safe application of pesticides and fertilizers in compliance with Florida O&T regulations
• Monitor turf health and identify pest, disease, and environmental stress issues
• Assist with recordkeeping and regulatory compliance (FDACS standards)
• Support equipment use and ensure adherence to maintenance procedures
• Assist in storm preparation and recovery efforts
• Communicate effectively with the Superintendent and other departments

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of golf course maintenance experience preferred
• Previous supervisory or crew leadership experience strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of:
  • Warm-season turfgrass management (Seashore Paspalum a plus)
  • Rainbird Irrigation systems and water management
  • Integrated Pest Management (IPM) principles
• Florida Restricted Use Pesticide (RUP) License or ability to obtain within 90 days
• Valid driver's license
