Description

Burlingame Country Club is a private 18 hole golf course in the mountains of Western North Carolina. We are currently looking to fill the Assistant Superintendent/Spray tech position. Burlingame Country Club is in the beginning stages of a 2 phase golf course renovation project. The Assistant Superintendent/Spray Tech is responsible for mixing and applying all chemical/pesticide applications such as herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, wetting agents, and fertilizers. The Assistant Superintendent/Spray Tech must obtain their North Carolina Pesticide License within the first 6 months of their start date. The Assistant Superintendent/Spray Tech will be responsible for weed identification along with appropriate treatments, disease identification along with appropriate treatments, as well as other necessary chemical and fertilizer applications. The Assistant Superintendent/Spray Tech will also be expected to work in conjunction with the Golf Course Superintendent to assign daily tasks and management of the golf course maintenance crew.

Willing to work weekends- problem solver-hands on work ethic-show up early before the rest of the crew-willing to work in the rain and cold-strong attention to detail-good communication skills-having physical stamina and strength-willing to further education-able to operate a variety of golf course equipment-willing to work 40+ hours a week- vacations scheduled in the off season. Reliable transportation is a must.
