Description

This position performs comprehensive inspections and enforcement activities across 
building, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, property maintenance, zoning, and other 
applicable codes, ordinances, and standards at the local, state, and federal levels. 
Evaluates construction practices, identifies non-compliance, and ensures corrective 
measures are implemented. May conduct plan reviews, analyze technical data, and 
contribute to permitting decisions. Work emphasizes commercial structures and 
high-complexity residential inspections requiring advanced technical expertise and 
interpretation of regulatory requirements.

Requirements

License or Certifications 
Must possess and maintain in good standing a valid Illinois driver's license.
ICC Residential Building Inspection Certification (or within 12 months of hire)
ICC Property Maintenance Certification (or within 12 months of hire)
Level II: ICC Residential Mechanical, ICC Residential Electrical (or within 12 
months of hire)
Level III: ICC Commercial Building Inspections, Commercial Mechanical, 
Commercial Electric (or within 12 months of hire)
