This premier asset manager is well-positioned for growth and is seeking to recruit a highly capable Chief Risk & Compliance Officer.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the CEO and as part of the executive committee, you will develop and maintain corporate-wide risk and regulatory management framework, policies and programs covering financial and non-financial risks and compliance. You will advise and facilitate senior management's understanding of the various types of risks and regulations, develop and manage the risk and governance systems, lead the discussion with senior management on risk and regulatory issues and resolutions, and participate in key decision-making processes as a member of the executive committee. You will be the key contact point with the Group on various risk and compliance related topics. You will chair the Risk Committee, work closely with the Investment & Portfolio Risk Oversight and Business Risk Oversight Committees. You will conduct regular risk assessments on financial, investment and operational risk to give assurance to the management on the risk resilience and business continuity.

Requirements

Degree qualified (in mathematics, science, accounting, business administration, finance and/or risk management or equivalent, preferred), you possess strong experience in asset management including front line and second line experience. Experience in risk management or compliance is preferred but not a must and therefore candidates from the 1st line (front office) who are keen to pivot to risk and governance can also apply. Relevant professional experience & designations (e.g., FRM, PRM, CIPM) and dealing with regulators are added advantageous. You are highly motivated, collaborative, analytical, a self-starter, possess excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, strong attention to detail, and executive gravitas to partner closely with senior stakeholders.
