Are you interested in an Internship opportunity with Philips? We welcome individuals who are currently pursuing an undergraduate (BS) degree to participate in 6 month paid intern opportunities at our site in Cambridge. Through this role you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience working for a HealthTech company.
Your Role:
- At Philips Ultrasound Research & Development, you as a Software Engineering Co-op will work on some of the most complex challenges in healthcare by utilizing skills in data structures, systems knowledge, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
- You will bridge between abstract concepts and the technology products used daily to touch the lives millions of other people around the world.
- You will work under the direction of a senior software engineer, design, implement and test ultrasound software while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g. software, systems, clinical, test).
- Your tasks will encompass a broad range of software development activities, providing you with the opportunity to learn about successful deployment of software components in an exciting customer-oriented engineering environment.
You're the right fit if:
- You are pursuing a B.S. degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, computer science or equivalent
- Your skills include knowledge of and/or experience programming in an object-oriented language such as C++ and Java.
- You have experience through university coursework, projects, or previous internships or co-op roles, working as an individual contributor to analyze and solve complex technical assignments; with an ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.
- You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
- You're a collaborative self-starter with strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interface in a cross-disciplinary manner, including engineers, project managers, and clinical specialists.

Philips Transparency Details
The hourly rate for Bachelor Candidates: $33.00 to $36.00, plus eligible overtime. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
Additional Information
