Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Lancaster County, PA for a Building Code Inspector III / Commercial Plans Examiner CAI is seeking a professional who brings both field experience and a deep understanding of construction codes. This position focuses on complex commercial inspections, code interpretation, and plan coordination. The ideal candidate will demonstrate sound technical judgment, independent decision making, and strong communication skills while upholding the high professional standards that define CAI’s reputation.

Requirements
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Building Inspections and Site Inspections to maintain safety standards and ensure proper construction practices
- Strong skills in Code Enforcement to ensure compliance with local and state building codes
- Knowledge and experience all aspects of commercial construction and standards
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with municipal clients, contractors, and building owners
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team
- Experience in commercial plan examination and familiarity with local laws and safety requirements
