A leading global investment bank is seeking a Compliance Advisory professional to join its Investment Banking Compliance team in Paris. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior bankers, advising on complex transactions and ensuring adherence to regulatory and internal compliance standards in a highly dynamic environment.

You will act as a key compliance advisor to the Investment Banking division, covering M&A, ECM, DCM, and financing activities. The role requires a strong understanding of European regulatory frameworks and the ability to provide pragmatic, commercial advice while maintaining the highest compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day compliance advisory support to Investment Banking teams (M&A, ECM, DCM, Leveraged Finance).
• Advise on regulations including MAR, MiFID II, insider dealing, conflicts of interest, and information barriers.
• Review transactions, marketing materials, pitch books, and deal-related communications.
• Advise on wall-crossings, inside information management, and market soundings.
• Support new business initiatives and regulatory change projects.
• Liaise with regulators, internal stakeholders, and global compliance colleagues.
• Contribute to policies, procedures, training, and ongoing compliance initiatives.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Investment Banking Compliance Advisory within an investment bank or similar financial institution.
• Strong knowledge of European securities regulation, particularly MAR and MiFID II.
• Solid understanding of M&A and capital markets transactions.
• Ability to interact effectively with senior bankers and stakeholders.
• Strong judgement, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
• Fluency in English is essential
