Role Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Compliance Editor to join our dynamic and fast-paced Compliance Team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in content screening and versioning for movies and TV programs, ensuring all materials meet client compliance standards. You will collaborate with global teams while managing tight deadlines and maintaining the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate is passionate about media content, confident in communication, and thrives both independently and as part of a team in a high-pressure environment. Prior experience in a media or content setting is essential.
Location: Fullerton, CA (Remote)
What You'll Be Doing
• Perform advanced non-linear editing and versioning using Adobe Premiere.
• Screen content meticulously to ensure compliance with various client guidelines, enhancing the overall quality of programming.
• Create detailed edit notes aligned with Culturally Sensitive Guidelines and collaborate with colleagues to meet contractual compliance.
• Creatively edit and version features, TV shows, and trailers while adhering to client and screening requirements, and maintaining story integrity.
• Edit diverse formats including program compilations, audio laybacks, and subtitles.
• Conduct quality control checks on versioned masters to verify creative, aesthetic, and legal standards.
• Prepare and deliver digital content to technical teams and liaise with programming departments.
• Support other Compliance Editors as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of communications, materials, and workflows.
• Manage and monitor project deadlines rigorously.
• Handle digital content uploads and downloads across multiple platforms.
• Update work orders appropriately.
• Assist internal staff with digital asset inquiries.
Qualification and Skills
• Expert proficiency with Adobe Premiere and troubleshooting editing issues.
• Strong understanding of the movie and television industry, including broadcast codecs, frame rates, aspect ratio maintenance, standards conversion, and audio requirements.
• Exceptional attention to detail with proven accuracy in content screening and versioning.
• Experience with master versioning for the airline industry or broadcast sectors is a plus.
• Familiarity with subtitle formatting is advantageous.
• Competent with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel) and general PC skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to produce high-quality work consistently under tight deadlines.
• Multilingual skills are a bonus, but not a requirement.
