About the Role
We are partnering with a leading international firm seeking a Compliance Manager to join their Hong Kong office. This role reports directly to the Head of Compliance and offers exposure to regional compliance operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee client onboarding and matter opening workflows, ensuring compliance with AML, CDD, and sanctions requirements.
• Act as a senior escalation point for complex queries related to conflicts and regulatory issues.
• Supervise and mentor a small team of compliance professionals, ensuring consistent application of policies and procedures.
• Conduct conflict checks, implement information barriers, and liaise with internal stakeholders on compliance matters.
• Assist with policy drafting, training delivery, and system upgrades.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years' compliance/business acceptance experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
• Background in law firm, consulting, or crypto firms will be considered.
• Prior people management experience is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of AML, conflicts rules, and global compliance standards.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
