Description
The Department of Ophthalmology, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is accepting applications for a full-time, fixed-term faculty position in Cornea and External Disease. Our mission is to improve the health and well-being of North Carolinians and others whom we serve. We accomplish this by providing leadership and excellence in the interrelated areas of patient care, education and research. Responsibilities include patient surgical and medical care of cornea/external diseases, providing high quality resident and medical student training, and participation in clinical and/or basic research. Academic rank and salary will be based on experience and credentials.

Requirements
Minimum Education and Experience: MD required. Selected candidate must be fellowship trained in corneal & external diseases, and have successfully completed a fully accredited residency-training program in ophthalmology. North Carolina licensure or eligibility is required to finalize appointment. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible. Prior experience in academic medical setting preferred.
