Who we are at Timberline:
Timberline Veterinary Emergency and Specialty (TVES) is a rapidly growing, locally owned 24-hr emergency and specialty hospital located in Seattle, WA. Founded by Dr. Beth Davidow (DACVECC), Dr. Laura Ahlgrim and Dr. Chris Bailey. We believe that veterinary medicine is best when it is controlled by those that provide it and our mission is “Leading through exceptional veterinary care and sustainable employee ownership.” Our PEAK principles of patient care, engagement, accountability and knowledge growth guide how we make decisions, respond to challenges and direct the growth of our hospital.
We are committed to continuous improvement in the veterinary care that we provide our community as well as finding ways to make veterinary medicine sustainable for our team. Because of our commitment to employee ownership and engagement, we provide profit sharing and participation in our stock appreciation plan for ALL employees and our goal is to be 100% employee owned through an ESOP. We currently have two Critical Care Specialists, Surgery, Oncology, 6 day a week ultrasound coverage, along with a close relationship with a clinical pathologist (located inside of our building) and mobile cardiology service. We are actively completing a prospective randomized clinical trial involving cats with urethral obstruction and are excited about designing and completing future clinical trials. We are located in a newly renovated 21k sqft hospital in North Seattle, with a 128 slice CT scanner, high flow oxygen, ventilator and mature community driven blood bank.
Who we are looking for:
We are looking for a board certified emergency and critical care specialist to join our emergency and ICU team of two criticalists, 9 full-time emergency DVMs and our talented LVTs and VTS staff. This role involves participating in hospital rounds, managing a combination of both inpatients and outpatients with complex medical problems and working collaboratively with our referring veterinarians and the TVES team to provide exceptional veterinary medicine. The ideal candidate would love receiving emergency cases as well as managing critical cases. We are looking for someone who would also be excited to be involved in protocol development, clinical trials, team training and advanced patient care. We are looking for an individual that loves to learn and is constantly challenging and changing practices based on new evidence.
