Director of Human Resources
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources and Operations, the Director of Human Resources provides leadership, coordination, and operational oversight for district human resources services. The position works collaboratively with the Director of Classified Human Resources and the Assistant Superintendent of HR to ensure consistent, effective, and legally compliant personnel systems and practices across the District.
The Director serves as the District’s day-to-day lead for labor relations with assigned bargaining units, including certificated staff and other classified employee groups as assigned. The position supports collective bargaining, leads certificated labor-management collaboration, and contract administration while also contributing to the development and implementation of districtwide human resources systems, procedures, and policies.
The Director oversees key human resources processes including recruitment, staffing, employee relations, investigations, contract administration, performance management, and HR systems. The role supervises HR staff and helps ensure efficient, responsive, and compliant human resources operations that support the District’s strategic goals and workforce needs.
