Description
CAA is currently interviewing for a Part-Time or Full-Time Fire Inspector to work for several of our clients in the Inland Empire.
What You’ll Do
Conduct field inspections of sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, water supply, fire extinguishers, exits, and other fire-prevention items outlined in the Fire Code.
Ensure compliance with California State and local codes, including local amendments.
Issue notices of violation for non-compliance and maintain clear, accurate inspection records.
Inspect commercial and residential buildings annually to ensure adherence to fire code regulations.
Review and evaluate Fire Code–related plans.
Perform on-site and off-site inspections as required.
Requirements
What You Bring
Hands-on experience conducting fire inspections in commercial and residential construction—including fire alarms, sprinklers, underground systems, hydrants, ansul systems, and other fire-safety equipment installations.
Strong working knowledge of the California Fire Code, state and local regulations, and building construction practices.
Fire Inspector I (F1) and Fire Inspector II (F2) certifications (or willingness to obtain F1 within 6 months of hire and F2 within 12 months).
Fire Plans Examiner certification (preferred).
Excellent customer service skills, professionalism, and the ability to work respectfully with both colleagues and clients.
