Job Summary:
We are hiring a flexible and motivated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN), Level II or III, to serve as a Float Nurse between our pediatric outpatient clinics in the Clayton and Wake Forest areas. This position plays a key role in supporting a high standard of patient care across multiple sites. Candidates must bring strong clinical expertise, effective communication skills, and a commitment to pediatric care.
Key Responsibilities (Varies by Level):

- Provide direct pediatric care under the supervision of physicians or senior clinical leadership \n
- Execute telephone triage, refill prescriptions, and maintain comprehensive EMR documentation \n
- Perform venipuncture, catheterization, and set up/analyze lab cultures \n
- Support providers with care coordination and patient follow-ups \n
- Serve as a mentor or team lead (Level III) for new and existing nursing staff \n
- Participate in committees, clinical improvement initiatives, and cross-clinic collaboration \n
- Ensure patient confidentiality and regulatory compliance (OSHA, HIPAA, CLIA) \n

Registered Nurse (RN) Level II:

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Level II:

Qualifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- National Institutes of Health (NIH)
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- Active unencumbered Registered Nurse North Carolina state license
- Graduate from a fully accredited Registered Nurse program
- One year of work experience as Registered Nurse
- One year of EMR experience
- Board Certified

- Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
- Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
- Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.

- A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
- Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
