The Food and Beverage Manager will oversee the food and beverage areas within the hotel. Responsibilities may include scheduling, forecasting and training, ensuring compliance with federal, state and local laws as well as all operating procedures. This person may also coordinate special events at the hotel. The Assistant Food and Beverage Manager must have strong communication and analytical skills. Food and Beverage cost control experience is helpful.

Salary Range: $61,800 to $86,600. This is the pay range for this position at Alila Ventana Big Sur reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors including experience, and education

Qualifications

Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a food and beverage leadership position, preferably in a hotel setting.
• Proven leadership and team-building skills.
• Strong knowledge of hygiene and sanitation regulations.
• Leadership and team management skills.
• Good organizational and time-management abilities.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Basic computer skills for managing inventory and reporting.
• Certification in food safety or sanitation (preferred).
• Strong financial acumen and knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and cost control.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in food and beverage management software and tools.
• Certification in food safety and alcohol service (Food Handler's & Responsible Beverage Service)

Work Environment

• Physical work requiring standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting heavy objects.
• Exposure to heat, humidity, and cleaning chemicals.
• Requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
