About the Facility

SHORT BIO: Transit Valley Country Club is a premier family-oriented, private member-owned, facility located in the suburbs of Buffalo, New York. Transit Valley started with humble beginnings and has become one of the finest golf courses in New York State. The Club was established in August 1921 when nine men met to plan a new country club in Western New York. Today, TVCC is a family-driven club offering an excellent social programming schedule, kid's camp, swim/tennis/golf teams, and sport camps.

What's new?

Transit Valley completed a multi-phase renovation project in April 2021. Phase I of the Project included: A new kitchen, pizza bump-out with a pizza oven, new lobby restrooms and a complete renovation of the Women's Locker room. Phase II of the Project included: A new indoor/outdoor 25-seat bar, two golf simulators with a lounge, patio, and fire pit, renovated Men's Locker with the addition of a bar and card room, upgrading of our casual and formal dining rooms.

Amenities:

Transit Valley's clubhouse offers multiple picturesque dining options that provide fantastic panoramic views of the golf course and features meeting and banquet facilities. Additional amenities include a recreational zone with tennis courts, four pickle ball courts, basketball and in-line hockey, junior-size Olympic pool, kids' club, and men's and women's locker rooms. The high-ranked golf practice facility includes twenty hitting stations and five target areas along with a newly constructed short game practice area.

The Club has a very active golf membership of 340 and 465 total members. Approximately 26,000 rounds of golf per year through member and guest play, along with 12 outside charity/corporate events.

Essential Responsibilities

Position Description:

The Food & Beverage Manager will work collaboratively with another Food & Beverage Manager on being responsible for all Front-of-House staff and operations, overseeing a 2M Food and Beverage Operation. This position will report directly to the General Manager/COO. TVCC is looking for a high energy, positive attitude individual who likes to be challenged and can get the team behind her/him. Additionally, the club is looking for a candidate who is a visionary, loves driving innovation, and is never satisfied with status quo.

Key areas of responsibility include:

• Providing a high level of consistent service to members and guests

• Assist in overseeing FOH Operations and providing overall support to F&B operation

• Assist in hiring, training, supervising, and developing FOH staff to include servers, bartenders, server assistants, expediters, bussers, valet and concierge

• Assist in monitoring and updating POS software - NorthStar Application

• Friendly - Friendly - Friendly - TVCC has a very friendly membership, and the staff culture is synonymous.

• Assist in promoting and coordinating group outings, and events for members and guests

• Track cover counts and year-over-year key performance indicators

• Create an excellent culture to assist in delivery of TVCC's Mission and Vision Statement

• Work in conjunction with bartenders to develop and implement quarterly craft cocktail list

• Work in conjunction with Halfway House Manager to ensure high quality member experience

• Work in conjunction with the Catering Manager to ensure events are staffed appropriately and ensure high quality experience

• Continually train all FOH staff

• Complete monthly beverage inventory

Skills:

• Competent with wine, spirits, and craft cocktails

• Organization and task oriented

• Understanding of restaurant operations

Benefits

The club will provide compensation and benefits package commensurate with experience and qualifications including:

• Salary commensurate with experience = $62,000 - $65,000

• Health insurance, 401K potential and other benefits to include dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability and more
