You will play a critical role in ensuring the business operates within Japanese regulatory requirements, while enabling innovation in payment solutions and financial technology. This position offers the opportunity to influence business growth in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead regulatory strategy in Japan, managing licensing, data privacy, and anti-bribery frameworks.
• Act as the primary advisor on financial crime prevention, including AML and sanctions compliance.
• Partner with product teams to assess risks of new payment technologies and support compliant product launches.
• Design and implement scalable compliance frameworks aligned with business growth.
• Translate complex regulatory requirements into clear, actionable strategies for stakeholders.
• Drive a strong compliance culture through training and internal engagement initiatives.
• Identify regulatory risks and collaborate with global teams to resolve compliance and risk issues proactively.

Required Skills and Qualifications Experience:

• 10+ years of experience in compliance or risk management within financial services.
• Proven track record in senior leadership roles managing complex regulatory environments.
• Strong expertise in banking regulations, financial products, and compliance frameworks.

Soft Skills:

• Strong leadership and decision-making ability in high-stakes, fast-paced environments.
• Advanced problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex regulatory challenges.
• Ability to drive execution and deliver results through strategic and objective-oriented leadership.

Language Requirements:

• Japanese: Fluent
• English: Fluent
