Head of Regulatory Compliance role at a foreign corporate bank overseeing Hong Kong regulatory compliance

Your new company

You will join a licenced foreign corporate bank with a strong footprint across Asia‑Pacific, supporting multinational corporates and institutional clients. The organisation is well‑established, highly reputable, and known for its conservative risk culture and robust regulatory governance.

Your new role

As Head of Regulatory Compliance, you will lead the Hong Kong compliance function, acting as the key point of contact for regulators and internal stakeholders. This role covers regulatory advisory, compliance oversight, and governance across corporate and institutional banking activities. You will ensure ongoing compliance with local regulatory requirements while aligning with regional and global compliance standards.
Key responsibilities include regulatory liaison, interpretation and implementation of new regulations, advisory support to business and management, oversight of compliance policies and procedures, and leading a small team.

What you'll need to succeed

• Extensive regulatory compliance experience within a licensed bank, preferably foreign corporate banking
• Strong knowledge of HKMA regulations, banking ordinances, and regulatory expectations in Hong Kong
• Proven experience managing regulatory interactions, examinations, and ongoing supervision
• Sound stakeholder management skills with the ability to advise senior management
• Fluency in English and Chinese
