Our client is an expanding brokerage / securities firm with strong regional presence. They are currently looking for a solid Risk Manager to lead the team in Hong Kong.

As Head of Risk, you'll be responsible for supervising and ensuring effective market risk and control leadership within Hong Kong entity. You will be leading risk assessment of new products and businesses and drive changes when needed. You will develop the risk function, identifying, analyzing and mitigating internal and external events that could threaten the organization and work to ensure that the region is compliant with SFC regulations, so that ultimately the business can balance its appetite for risk with operational requirements to allow growth.

To qualify, you should have 10 years of experience in market risk management specifically in Prime Brokerage such as equities financing, TRS etc. Ideally with a degree in Risk Management or MBA. You should have strong policy, process and project management experience, and have statue and credibility to influence risk professionals and business leaders while having a hands-on approach. You must have strong communication skills in Chinese and English.
