- Human Resource & Benefits Specialist
Description
The Human Resource and Benefits Specialist will report to the Vice President of Human Resource Programs. As part of the Associates Services team in HR, this roll will primarily be responsible for benefits administration and human resource program execution. The corporate office is in Grade A office space in the Galleria complex and is in easy walking distance of the Battery.
Responsibilities:
Own all benefits administration, including but not limited to billing, communications, troubleshooting, and managing our outsourced benefits administrator.
Will coordinate with field HR professionals to ensure maintenance of employment records and data in the Workday HRIS meets state, federal and company document requirements.
Works with the VP of Human Resource Programs to design, communicate and facilitate wellness programs.
Prepares information for annual audits, surveys, tax returns and other compliance reporting.
Manage all HR legal records requests to ensure timely and accurate response.
Review all unemployment claims and leaves of absence with third-party vendors.
Maintain and manage all HR files, including centralized I9 files for North America.
Support annual open enrollment execution, including planning, communication, and employee education.
Conduct Live and Virtual sessions to explain benefit options and changes.
Serve as primary contact and responsible for all benefit billing invoices in Concur and other vendor invoices as necessary.
Partner with Director of EH&S to manage the safety programs for the corporate office.
Submit and process all HR, Legal and Safety invoices in the Concur system. Serve as primary contact for vendor questions.
Work with outsourced leave administrator to ensure all LOAs are handled and documented accurately. This requires coordination with Payroll and the human resource partners.
Other ad hoc benefit and HR program projects as needed
Requirements
Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in Human Resources with benefits administration responsibilities.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Experience working with an HRIS; Workday experience strongly preferred.
Proven star in customer service
Proactive self-starter, excited to take on new challenges and contribute to innovative solutions.
Exceptional teamwork, adaptability, critical thinking, and multi-tasking skills.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion when dealing with sensitive personnel issues.
