Description
Reporting to the Human Resources Director, the Human Resources Coordinator plays a vital role for the Macklan Group of Companies. In this role, you will play a key role in the daily processes and procedures as well as building excellent relationships with team members, while supporting a diverse and inclusive working environment. This is a term position for 16 months, with the possibility of extension or becoming permanent as our team and business continue to scale.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Full lifecycle recruitment process: screening resumes, interviewing, conducting background and reference checks
Assist with onboarding of new employees, ensuring proper entry of employee information into the HRIS and payroll systems
Process, verify and maintain documentation related to HR activities (recruitment, performance evaluation etc.)
Assist in the design and implementation of key HR and Payroll projects in support of business direction
Responds to manager and employee questions about HR policies and processes and refers to HR Director, as required
Assist with HR functions such as employee engagement, data collection for performance reviews, and employee leave management
Helps enhance HR data collection processes by leveraging company resources and software, while ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and efficiency of these processes.
Other HR responsibilities as required
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or a related field with coursework in business, human resource management, psychology, and/or industrial relations
Working towards or currently hold CPHR designation
Ability to exercise discretion and manage confidential information with integrity and professionalism
Excellent organization and time management skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
A working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow through tasks to full completion
