Description
Position Purpose
The Controls Analyst is a key member of the Analytics Team, supporting our Impact-Driven Service (Controls Service) offering, which includes Fault Detection & Diagnostics (FDD) software and task management. This role collaborates closely with the analytics team, service managers and supervisors, technicians, and dispatchers to ensure successful onboarding of new clients and to analyze system diagnostics and faults that improve overall HVAC performance. The Analyst plays a vital role in gathering, reviewing, and leveraging technical data throughout the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition into ongoing service and providing continuous support to the service team during execution.
Pay Range: $75,000 - $100,000 plus potential profit share.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to:
- Review mechanical plans, controls plans, and live BAS platforms to generate accurate equipment counts for onboarding facilities into the LONG analytics platform.
- Collaborate with salespeople, construction managers, technicians, and clients to gather, verify, and analyze all historical building data to ensure a successful onboarding process.
- Interpret mechanical, electrical, and temperature control drawings to identify key information and support the sales team in producing high-quality documentation, analysis, and review.
- Obtain, analyze, document, and submit utility bill data as part of the onboarding and analysis process.
- Utilize Building Automation Systems to pull point lists, capture graphic snapshots, create user profiles, and complete other tasks related to onboarding for the FDD platform.
- Learn and apply knowledge of Clockworks platforms, including the Dashboard Portal, to effectively use and optimize widgets, filters, and visualizations while creating, editing, assigning, and managing dashboards for clients, the Analytics Team, and technical users.
- Analyze service tickets, system diagnostics, and task completion data to verify full issue resolution and ensure appropriate communication with clients.
- Provide timely responses to questions and requests from clients, Clockworks support, technicians, and internal colleagues through ticketing systems and tracking tools.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of HVAC, Control Systems, or Energy engineering experience.
- Working Knowledge of Commercial HVAC systems and Building Automation platforms.
- Aptitude to apply energy calculation and optimization methods to HVAC, control systems, building automation, electrical systems, energy management, engineering, installation, and construction procedures.
- Have a background in or a desire to learn Programming and troubleshooting skills with KMC, Distech, Tridium Niagara, and other equivalent systems.
- High degree of proficiency or desire to learn about any IT assets utilized within commercial HVAC systems, Building Automation Systems, and office environments.
- Ability to read and understand complex control diagrams, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly and concisely, in writing and verbally.
- Proficiency in writing, reviewing, and editing technical documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred) in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience in HVAC and building controls.
- 2+ years of Energy Engineering, Commissioning, HVAC design or building controls experience.
- 2+ years of DDC/BAS control system programming and service experience.

Physical Requirements
