Job overview and responsibilities
The team is currently looking for an analytics intern who has a passion for data and analytics with the willingness to dig deep into details. The intern will translate data findings into insights and recommendations for business stakeholders and contribute in developing smart and innovative solutions across many of United's departments.

• Execute solutions to business problems using data analysis, data mining, report generation and statistical modeling
• Create and develop reports and dashboards for United leadership and external stakeholders
• Effectively structure communication of insights from work streams and deliver clear and professional presentations to team and project managers.

This position is offered on local terms and conditions within United's wholly owned subsidiary United Airlines Business Services Pvt. Ltd. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.

Qualifications

What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

• Master's degree in Engineering, Technology, Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Economics (having availability to work on 2-month internship from May- Jun)
• Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship
• Advanced level comfort with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Powerpoint
• Ability to manipulate and analyze complex data to highlight patterns and relationships
• Experience in using database querying tools and able to write queries using Teradata SQL and/or Microsoft TSQL
• Proficiency in Programming Languages (Python / R / Pyspark)
• Familiarity with one or more reporting tools - Spotfire / Tableau / Power BI
• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork
• Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship
• Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
• Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
