This role offers the opportunity to join a leading global financial institution as a Compliance Officer supporting Investment Banking / Securities functions in Japan.

Working closely with both domestic business stakeholders and global compliance teams, you will help deliver highly effective, practical compliance solutions.

The position is open from Junior to Senior level, making it ideal for professionals looking to grow their compliance career in an international environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Support core compliance operations including regulatory risk management, license management, regulatory filings, and internal control processes
• Conduct risk assessment processes and handle trade surveillance and communication monitoring activities
• Partner with local business-aligned compliance teams and global stakeholders to maintain accurate and timely compliance coverage
• Help strengthen and improve practical compliance frameworks aligned with Japan regulatory expectations
• Work collaboratively across multiple business areas to support compliance-driven decision-making

Required Skills and Qualifications Experience:

• 1+ year of compliance experience within the financial services industry, OR
• Experience in financial services such as legal support, business control, operations, or other compliance-related roles

Soft Skills:

• Strong teamwork and a collaborative mindset
• Positive attitude with motivation to learn and develop professionally

Language Requirements:

• Japanese: Native
• English: Fluent (frequent use in a global environment)

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience supporting regulatory compliance in investment banking or securities environments
• Interest in working closely with business teams while balancing risk and compliance priorities
