Performs a variety of independent laboratory work and experiments, analyzes and summarizes data, maintains lab and chemical inventory, performs mouse experiments in cancer research.
Job Summary
Performs a variety of independent and complex laboratory work and experiments. Analyzes and interprets data, compiles results, and prepares reports. Maintains inventory, ordering, and logs. Writes manuscripts and grant proposals and prepares data visualizations.
Essential Functions
Performs a variety of independent laboratory work and experiments, including determining experimental protocols and preparing laboratory specimens and cultures.
• Analyzes experimental data and interprets results; compiles results; writes reports and summaries of findings.
• Maintains and oversees specimen inventory and ordering.
• Maintains lab and chemical inventory.
• Keeps detailed, accurate, and timely data and log books.
• Prepares data, graphs, tables, and charts to document experimental results for publication.
• Performs literature searches; summarizes findings for reports and written documentations.
• Consults with other researchers and staff regarding laboratory procedures and experiments.
• Develops recommendations and problem resolutions to improve research efforts.
• Perform in vivo work with mice
Physical Effort
Moderate physical effort required. May be required to stand/move for several hours at a time. May be required to move objects up to 50 pounds with or without assistance of equipment.
