Description
We are seeking an experienced Lead Chemist to spearhead the development and optimization of soap formulations for truck and car wash applications, as well as general soap products. This role combines hands-on laboratory work with leadership in product innovation and process improvement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in surfactant chemistry, formulation science, and a proven track record in scaling products from lab to production. Proficiency in operations management is highly desirable to oversee efficient manufacturing processes, quality control, and team coordination. Reverse engineering and de formulations are common as well.

Key Requirements
-Lead the research, development, and formulation of new and improved soap products, focusing on truck and car wash detergents, including alkaline cleaners, foaming agents, and rinse aids.
-Conduct experiments to optimize product performance, stability, and environmental impact, ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., EPA, REACH, and safety regulations).
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, production, sales, and quality assurance) to translate formulations into scalable manufacturing processes.
-Oversee laboratory operations, including equipment maintenance, inventory management, and safety protocols.
-Analyze raw materials, test prototypes, and perform stability and efficacy testing using techniques such as HPLC, GC-MS, and rheological analysis.
-Drive continuous improvement in production efficiency, troubleshooting formulation issues, and implementing cost-saving measures.
-Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in soap and detergent chemistry.
-If proficient in operations management: Manage workflow optimization, supply chain coordination for raw materials, and process engineering to enhance manufacturing output and reduce waste.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field; Master's or Ph.D. preferred.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in formulation chemistry, preferably in the soap, detergent, or cleaning products industry.
Expertise in surfactant science, emulsion stability, pH balancing, and eco-friendly additives.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in laboratory instrumentation and data analysis software.
Demonstrated ability to lead projects from concept to commercialization.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
