POSITION: FULL- TIME, LIGHT EQUIPMENT OPERATOR – PUBLIC WORKS DIVISION
SALARY: Starting: Base $22.83, plus any additional Certs
BENEFITS: Medical, Optical, and Dental
UNION: Teamsters (Optional)

JOB DESCRIPTION:
   Work will be performed outside in all-weather conditions, including extreme conditions. Work will be mainly in the Public Works Division, but will also be expected to assist in all City work; including Water/Sewer Emergencies, City Wide Emergencies, etc.
   Duties will include but not be limited to:
o    Driving/Operating Commercial Mowers, Leaf Vactor trucks, Street Sweepers, Lift Trucks, Chipper Trucks, dump trucks, plow/salt trucks, pick-up trucks, vans, forklifts, front-end loaders, back hoes, small equipment; Weed Whips, chainsaws and tools
o    Preforming park, building, tree and street maintenance as assigned
o    Performing general equipment maintenance 
o    Completing work records and time sheets

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
   High school or G.E.D. equivalent 
   CDL license with B Endorsement (air brake) and Tanker Endorsement
   Able to pass physical, background and drug screenings
   Maintain reliable attendance
   Able to perform manual labor
   Able to respond to after hour call-ins/emergencies
   Able to work professionally with co-workers and the public, even in stressful situations
