- Postdoctoral Scholar-Fixed Term
Description
The Harel Group at Michigan State University invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher to work on the development and application of real-time ultrafast spectroscopy and imaging for probing the mechanical and dynamical properties of biological and nanoscale systems. The successful candidate will have a strong background in ultrafast spectroscopy, time-resolved optical microscopy, or related techniques, with a demonstrated interest in biophysics and quantitative analysis of complex biological materials. The project focuses on single-particle and single-virion measurements, combining femtosecond pump–probe methods, wide-field imaging, and advanced statistical and computational analysis to elucidate structure–function relationships in biological systems. Candidates are expected to have experience in experimental optics, data analysis, and independent research, and will have the opportunity to contribute to high-impact publications and interdisciplinary collaborations at the interface of chemical physics, materials science, and biological physics. More details about BioSonics and other research projects in the group can be found on our website at www.deepspeclab.com Please apply at the following link: https://careers.msu.edu/jobs/postdoctoral-scholar-fixed-term-east-lansing-michigan-united-states-99083ca1-dd57-49af-9dc7-e3ac7ffe4b69
