As Product Manager AI, you will shape how construction professionals experience intelligent technology. You'll turn real workflows into practical, trustworthy AI capabilities-driving discovery, defining value, and guiding delivery across RIB's products. Balancing user needs, data readiness, model choice, and strict requirements for security and performance, you'll work closely with Engineering, Data/ML, UX, Security, Customer Success, and domain experts to bring impactful AI modules to life.
Key responsabilities
Product Strategy & Discovery
- Own the AI roadmap for one or more RIB product areas (e.g., project controls, estimating, procurement, documentation).
- Identify high-value AI opportunities via user research, workflow studies, and quantitative data.
- Define end-to-end AI concepts: problem, user, JTBD, metrics, data needs, rollout plan.
- Prioritize use cases based on ROI, feasibility, data availability, complexity, and time-to-value.
AI Module Development (End-to-End)
- Create PRDs including AI-specific requirements: context inputs, guardrails, evaluation, human-in-the-loop.
- Partner with ML/Engineering to choose the right approach (rules/ML, SLMs, LLMs, RAG).
- Define data and retrieval strategy: chunking, embeddings, metadata, vector search, permissions.
- Drive seamless product integration: UX flows, transparency, approval paths, and controls.
Evaluation, Quality & Trust
- Establish evaluation frameworks: test sets, golden datasets, regression suites, online monitoring.
- Track key AI metrics: task success, time saved, precision/recall, groundedness, cost/latency.
- Mitigate LLM risks: hallucinations, prompt injection, data leakage, bias.
- Implement guardrails: citations, refusal paths, escalation, role-based access, auditability.
Delivery, Operations & Scaling
- Collaborate with platform teams on MLOps/LLMOps: deployment, versioning, observability, cost control.
- Plan staged rollouts: feature flags, previews, beta programs; support GTM training and enablement.
- Ensure compliance and enterprise readiness with Legal/Security (GDPR, data boundaries, retention).
AI Knowledge & Skills
- Know when to apply SLMs, LLMs, or classic ML based on accuracy, latency, cost, and reliability.
- Practical understanding of RAG: embeddings, vector search, chunking, metadata filters, access control, grounding.
- Strong grasp of LLM workflows: prompting, tool/function calling, agents, fine-tuning vs. prompt/RAG, context/token limits.
- Awareness of AI risks (hallucinations, prompt injection, data exposure) and how to mitigate them.
- Experience delivering AI features on Azure AI, AKS/Kubernetes, or similar cloud platforms.
Essential requirments
- 5+ years of experience in B2B Product Management (SaaS preferred), owning roadmap and outcomes.
- Proven ability to ship complex software from discovery → launch → iteration (with measurable impact).
- Strong stakeholder management: align Engineering, UX, Sales/CS, and leadership on priorities and tradeoffs.
- Analytical mindset: comfortable with data, experimentation, and KPI definition.
- Clear communication: you can explain AI tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Very good English language skills (min. Level C1)
Advantageous
- Experience in construction software, AEC, ERP, estimating, project controls, procurement, BIM, or document management.
- Understanding of enterprise buying cycles, security/compliance expectations, and multi-tenant SaaS constraints.
- German language skills
