Responsibilities
- Improves customer satisfaction and business performance by using data and metrics to identify systemic issues, reduce scrap and rework, and support faster, more effective resolution of customer concerns.
- Drives consistent quality execution across global manufacturing sites
- Strengthens risk prevention and quality planning
- Enhances effectiveness of the Quality Management System by supporting audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities across all functional groups
- Builds company-wide quality capability by training and coaching teams in problem-solving methodologies, QMS requirements, etc.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field)
- Co-op, internship, or entry-level experience supporting quality engineering activities in a manufacturing or operations environment.
- Basic understanding of structured problem-solving methods (e.g., 8D, A3, DMAIC) with experience supporting investigations and corrective actions.
- Introductory knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems, with exposure to audits, procedures, or documented processes.
- Exposure to PFMEAs, Control Plans, and work instructions, including participation in reviews or updates.
- Ability to collect, analyze, and present quality data (scrap, defects, trends) using common tools such as Excel or quality databases.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively on cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and discipline in following procedures.
- Willingness to learn and develop technical and problem-solving skills in a manufacturing environment.
- Flexibility to support multiple tasks and priorities
