Pay Range: $55.00 - $95.00

Position Description
Ondrick Materials & Recycling, LLC is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Part-Time Safety Manager to oversee and enhance our safety operations in the aggregate and construction industry. This role is responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing occupational health policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations, and fostering a culture of safety across our organization.
Position Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee compliance with OSHA, MSHA, DOT, EPA, and DEP regulations.
- Develop, implement, and update safety policies and procedures.
- Lead the Safety Committee and provide technical and administrative support.
- Conduct safety inspections, audits, and training sessions.
- Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain required safety records and documentation.
- Collaborate with management to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
- Stop unsafe operations and activities as needed.
- Perform other safety-related duties as assigned.
Core Competencies
- Regulatory Knowledge: Expertise in OSHA, MSHA, DOT, EPA, and DEP regulations.
- Risk Assessment: Ability to identify, evaluate, and mitigate workplace hazards.
- Training & Communication: Skilled in delivering safety training and communicating policies.
- Incident Investigation: Proficient in investigating accidents and implementing corrective actions.
- Leadership: Capable of leading safety initiatives and influencing a culture of safety.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and thoroughness in documentation.
- Problem Solving: Effective at identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
- Technical Proficiency: Competent with Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
- Adaptability: Able to respond to changing regulations and site conditions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety, Safety Engineering, Environmental Health, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5-7 years' experience in occupational health and safety in an industrial environment or equivalent.
- Valid Class D driver's license and 3-year clean driving history.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
Work Environment
- Indoor office and outdoor construction site settings.
- Exposure to sun, dust, asphalt, and other construction conditions.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
- Frequent travel to jobsites (at least 50% of the time).
- Use of personal protective equipment required.
