Description
Future Talent: Senior C++ Engineer (Talent Community - Sri Lanka)Location: Colombo, Sri Lanka
Position Type: Future Opening - Talent Pipeline
The Opportunity
We are constantly looking for the best C++ minds in Sri Lanka to join us in building high-performance, mission-critical systems. While we have a number of roles open with specific requirements, this dedicated Talent Community allows us to connect and engage with strong engineers early and on an ongoing basis for current and future roles at LSEG.
By joining our talent community, you'll get an inside look at our engineering culture, meet our team through informal catch-ups, and be the first to know when a role that fits your expertise opens up-allowing us to move straight to final-stage conversations when the time is right.
What You'll Do (When You Join Us)
You will be a hands-on senior C++ engineer building deterministic, ultra-low-latency systems used in financial markets. Your primary responsibility is owning and evolving performance-critical paths-from market data ingestion to order handling-while providing technical guidance through design quality and performance sign-off.
- Architect & Build: Design and develop scalable, high-performance C++ applications.
- Optimize: Conduct deep-dive performance tuning, memory analysis, and kernel-level optimizations.
- Collaborate: Work within an Agile framework alongside cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical reality.
- Mentor: Share your expertise with the wider engineering community in Sri Lanka through code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions.
We value technical mastery and a continuous learning mindset. If you have the following, we'd love to start a conversation:
- Academic Foundation: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- C++ Expertise: Strong proficiency in modern C++ (C++11/14/17/20) and a solid grasp of STL and Boost. Solid understanding of object lifetime, memory management, and ownership.
- System Knowledge: Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments, multithreading, concurrency, and real-time systems.
- Tooling: Experience with build and debug tools like CMake, GDB, Valgrind, Vtune, Git, ASAN/TSAN.
- Problem Solving: An analytical mindset capable of troubleshooting complex bottlenecks and system failures.
- Skip the Line: When we open a role, candidates in our talent pool are prioritized for the final interview stages.
- Exclusive Insights: Receive updates on our technical roadmap and invites to our private tech meetups or webinars.
- Career Alignment: We'll keep your career goals in mind and reach out only for roles that match your specific interests (e.g., Low-latency, Embedded Systems, or AI).
Interested in a future with us? Simply upload your CV and a brief note about what kind of C++ challenges you're passionate about. We'll review your profile and reach out for an introductory "get-to-know-each-other" chat.
