Senior Software Engineer

The Role

We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer who brings strong technical judgment, delivery discipline, and a modern engineering mindset to complex systems. In this role, you'll take ownership of critical components, influence engineering standards, and help elevate how teams build, test, and deploy software at scale.

You'll be expected to work efficiently and thoughtfully, leveraging contemporary development tools—including AI-assisted workflows—while maintaining a strong foundation in software design, quality, and reliability.

What You'll Do

Technical Leadership & Delivery

• Design, build, and maintain production-grade systems using .NET Core or Python.

• Own complex features or services end-to-end, from design through deployment and ongoing support.

• Provide technical guidance through code reviews, design discussions, and mentorship of other engineers.

Quality, Testing & Security

• Set a high bar for testing, reliability, and maintainability across the codebase.

• Design and review unit, integration, and end-to-end test strategies.

• Use modern tooling to improve test coverage, identify defects early, and surface security or performance risks.

DevOps & Operational Excellence

• Contribute to and improve infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Terraform, Bicep).

• Support deployments and production issues with a focus on root-cause analysis and long-term fixes.

• Help streamline operational workflows through automation and improved observability.

Modern Engineering Practices

• Apply contemporary development tools to accelerate development, refactoring, and troubleshooting.

• Adapt quickly to evolving requirements, frameworks, and architectural patterns.

• Partner with product, architecture, and platform teams to align technical solutions with business goals.

What We're Looking For

Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience, with ownership of production systems.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently on complex problems and guide others through ambiguity.

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in .NET Core or Python.

• Solid understanding of system design, testing strategies, and software lifecycle management.

• Experience with cloud-native development, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation.

Senior Engineering Mindset

• Comfortable making tradeoffs between speed, quality, and long-term maintainability.

• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills under real-world constraints.

• Ability to translate loosely defined requirements into reliable, scalable solutions.

Tooling & Adaptability

• Fluent with modern developer tooling to improve efficiency, consistency, and code quality.

• Curious, adaptable, and open to new approaches that improve how work gets done.

• Able to evaluate new tools pragmatically and apply them where they add real value.
