About the role

This is your chance to influence how one of Australia's leading super funds manages operational risk. In this 12-month contract you'll work on complex, high-impact initiatives that safeguard member outcomes and strengthen our risk culture. Expect to grow your leadership profile, deepen your expertise in investment governance, and make a tangible difference in an organisation that values innovation and collaboration.

As Senior Manager, Operational Risk, you'll partner with senior leaders to embed robust risk frameworks and deliver strategic oversight across Operations. Your work will ensure compliance, resilience, and continuous improvement in a dynamic environment.
Key focus areas:

• Drive risk governance and implement frameworks aligned with Cbus' risk appetite
• Lead operational risk assessments and mitigation strategies
• Oversee compliance and regulatory change management
• Deliver risk reporting to executive forums and the Board
• Champion incident management and risk awareness training across teams

About you
You're an experienced risk leader with deep knowledge of superannuation or investment management. You thrive in complex environments and bring a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.

• 10+ years in operational risk within financial services
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements for super funds and investment managers
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and manage competing priorities
• Tertiary qualifications in finance, economics or related discipline (CFA highly regarded)
