Qualifications
RS&H is currently seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer for our Transportation Practice in Timonium, MD.
The successful candidate will have experience leading and performing diverse and complex work in the areas of engineering, mentoring, and management. As a Technical Expert and Project Manager, you will have a key role in project work, while also cultivating relationships with existing and new clients. You will work to achieve our goals of a profitable operation and a supportive and inclusive work environment. You will have a proven track record of technical excellence and winning work as part of a growing transportation practice and will leverage your experience as a key member of a team led by RS&H's Maryland State Leader and Northeast Division Leader.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university
• Maryland Professional Engineering (PE) registration or the ability to obtain their PE within 6 months of hire
• Minimum ten years of progressive leadership experience with a variety of transportation, aviation, and infrastructure related projects, with specific expertise in:
o Hydraulics and hydrology analysis, design, and review
o Storm drainage system design
o Stormwater management
o Erosion and sediment control design and compliance
o NPDES Program
o All local, state, and federal permitting requirements
o Preparing Plan Review Division and Maryland Department of the
Environment (MDE) package submittals
o Stormwater management facility inspection and retrofit design
• Experience with OpenRoads, Microstation, and AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred
• Thorough knowledge of Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) State Highway Administration, Maryland Transportation Authority, local municipality, and Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) policies and procedures
• Established client relationships/marketing and business development experience and the ability to market and maintain positive and trusted relationships with clients, staff, and subconsultant partners
• Ability to track individual project tasks and financial management of individual tasks and on-call contracts.
• Strong writing and presentation skills
• Business acumen and facilitation skills working with a broad set of clients, stakeholders and members of the public
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail along with overall quality control and schedule management; and
• Strong teamwork, team management and project organization skills working on projects and with staff
Hiring Salary Range: ($125,571 - $207,157) — for this location. The final agreed upon compensation is commensurate with experience relative to the position and/or primary work location.
