Description
The CIBT ATA group has been created to actively manage the risks, costs and associated size constraints of JPMC retained portfolio in an active and connected manner. It supports the strategic agenda of our franchise through a coordinated approach to pricing and management of financial resources.As an Experienced Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Global Technology team, you serve as member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way.
Job Responsibilities
- This role ensures that large language models (LLMs)-including models such as Claude, ChatGPT, and comparable enterprise-approved models-are used as controlled, well-understood components of the software engineering lifecycle.
- The role supervises how LLM-assisted and agent-driven development is performed, ensuring that model strengths, limitations, and risk profiles are understood, documented, and appropriately applied across different classes of software work.
- Design multi-agent workflows that incorporate LLM-driven analysis, code generation, testing, and review with explicit human approval gates and segregation of duties.
- Maintain deep understanding of the strengths, limitations, and risk characteristics of approved LLMs (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, and successor models).
- Define model usage guidelines outlining which models are appropriate for:
- Requirements analysis
- Code generation and refactoring
- Test generation
- Documentation and explanation
- Lead the use of LLMs for structured requirements analysis, including translating business and regulatory requirements into clear technical specifications.
- Establish best practices for prompt-driven design and development, treating prompts as versioned, reviewable engineering artifacts.
- Ensure prompt strategies support determinism, reproducibility, and traceability in regulated environments.
- Oversee prompt libraries and reusable patterns aligned with enterprise coding and architectural standards.
- Ensure LLM-driven systems meet enterprise reliability and resilience expectations.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing and operational stability
- Proficient in coding in Java or Python languages
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
- Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
- Exposure to cloud technologies
- Knowledge and interest in the Financial Industry
