We are looking for a Cloud Software Engineer who will design and build services that connect Zebra’s cloud platforms to Android Enterprise APIs and Zebra device management frameworks - enabling customers to deploy, configure, and secure their devices seamlessly at scale.

Role Overview

As a member of Zebra’s Cloud Device Management Engineering team, you’ll develop backend systems that integrate with Android Enterprise, enabling frictionless provisioning, remote policy enforcement, and telemetry at a global scale.

You’ll collaborate closely with Android system engineers, cloud architects, and product teams to build cloud-native services that power Zebra’s next-generation device lifecycle management and MDM/EMM platforms.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement cloud microservicesthat integrate with Android Enterprise / EMM APIs, DevicePolicyManager, for device provisioning and policy control.

• Working experience on serverless platform like firebase
• Build and maintain secure APIs and orchestration layers to manage large fleets of Zebra Android devices.
• Develop workflows for device enrollment, compliance reporting, OTA updates, and remote commands.
• Collaborate with Android platform and device firmware teams to align DPC (Device Policy Controller) behavior with cloud orchestration.
• Implement and scale event-driven data pipelines for telemetry ingestion and policy distribution.
• Ensure security, scalability, and observability across multi-tenant cloud deployments (GCP) .

Qualifications:

• Preferred Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in an appropriate engineering discipline required.
• Preferred Work Experience (years): Minimum of 5+ years of experience or an advanced degree
  and equivalent experience

  • 5+ years work experience
