Inspector/Plan Reviewer/Deputy Building Official for one of our clients in Ventura County.

What You’ll Do

Keep the BuildingDept. humming—permits, plan review & inspections
Wear the BuildingOfficial hat when the boss is out
Inspect/Plan Review complex residential / commercial / industrial builds (structural, plumbing, mech, electrical)
Log digital reports & records for possible legal use
Tackle complaints quickly, help at the public counter, stay codesavvy

Requirements

What You Bring

4+yrs inspection experience & AA in ConstructionMgmt. (BS degree down the road for BuildingOfficial)
Current CA ICC/ICBO BuildingInspector cert
Clean driver’s license & strong grasp of CA codes, methods, safety standards
People skills that turn “problems” into solutions
Comfortable with MicrosoftOffice & typical permit software
