Commonwealth Rolled Products is a leading manufacturer of Aluminum rolled products for the Automotive, Commercial, and Industrial markets. The Company operates its production facility in Lewisport, KY with the support of an Automotive Innovation Center for R&D, Sales and Field Service in Madison Heights (DET), and Inside Sales in the Cleveland, OH area.
Our production facility is seeking to add a talented Senior Manufacturing Applications Analyst for manufacturing shop floor and current ERP support. The purpose of this role is to develop and maintain standards, daily performance reports and metrics, improving quality, productivity, delivery performance, reducing cost, and providing historical, predictive and proactive management tools for operations and technical groups within the plant.
Responsibilities Include:
- Actively participate in maintaining a zero-incident safety culture.
- Live and champion the Commonwealth Rolled Products core values: Safety, Integrity, Customer Focus, Ownership, Excellence, and Teamwork.
- Identify opportunities, evaluate benefits, develop recommendations, and with Management's approval, initiate action plans to improve the production processes, practices, tactical and strategic planning and all CWRP systems.
- Design, and review database, applications and process changes.
- Manage security of production MSSQL environments, MVS, MES and shop floor applications.
- Monitor CWRP service desk tickets and change requests in timely manner.
- Manage contractor resources to resolve issues, create data flow processes and support reporting requests based on business needs and improvements and Return on Investment.
- Adhere to annual IT budget.
- Design and maintain ETL processes from a variety of data sources including but not limited to Oracle, MVS, MES, IBA, CSV Flat Files, Excel Files, and Emailed Files.
- Manage support for all 3rd party business critical applications.
- Develop and maintain a climate within Commonwealth that enhances mutual respect, team identity, effective working relationships, employee involvement, innovation and generation of new ideas.
- Power BI Development & Support to Plant Users and provide CWRP requested data into the Azure data lake.
Required Qualifications:
- Four-year degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of systems development, programming experience or IT management of projects in an industrial environment
- Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills
- Technological skills required are Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Access, Microsoft SQL Server Visual Basic, Power BI, SFTP, Python or any Unix based language
- Knowledge of detailed query and database server functionality (stored procedures, ETL, SQL Server Agent Jobs, etc.), performance streamlining and improvements
- Must be able to simultaneously manage multiple tasks
- Strong customer service skills to navigate a very diverse clientele of plant personnel
- Requires ability to identify and accumulate meaningful and significant data, sort and analyze the data, and recommend actions to overcome specified problems or issues
