We are currently seeking a Senior Project Staff Engineer with a strong background in instrument systems engineering to join our team. This role will focus on supporting instrument systems formulation, which consists of Pre-Formulation and Formulation activities. This is for support of the Goddard Space Flight Center in coordinating, monitoring, and assisting the development of instruments being delivered to the spacecraft.
Job Requirements:
- BS in technical disciple like engineering. (Preferred: MS in Engineering)
- 15 years of experience
- Experience as a mechanical or instrument systems engineer on NASA missions
- Experience with supporting NASA formulation studies including feasibility and risk studies, cost and schedule estimates, and advanced technology requirements
- Experience writing instrument specifications, Statement of Work (SoW) and Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL)
- Experience providing liaison and coordination services between the instrument teams and the spacecraft team or GSFC Project Office
- Experience with GSFC-STD-1001, Criteria for Flight and Flight Support System Life Cycle Reviews
