Job roles available: Kitchen Staff, Outdoor Facilitator, Hospitality Staff
Job Duties: Outdoor Facilitator
Lifeguard: duties include ensuring safety procedures are followed, providing first aid, cleaning the pool, completing in-services, checking equipment, and checking chemical levels as needed and prior to group use
Challenge Course: duties include ensuring safety procedures are followed, leading groups through elements based on their ability level. Explaining each element and what their goal is, the ability to change plans as needed.
Fishing: duties include setting up, safety talk, and overseeing the event.
Ground Games: duties include picking games for the group, based on their size and their capabilities. Explaining the instructions. Regulating the rules while not giving them the answers. Assembly of equipment, clean-up services.
Job Duties Kitchen Staff
The Kitchen Staff will assist in preparing and serving meals, operating a commercial dishwasher, and regularly assigned housekeeping tasks.
Job Duties Hospitality Staff
Housekeeping staff is responsible for cleaning bedrooms, bunk-rooms, public and private bathrooms, as well as dining and recreation areas. Other duties include chair and table setup, trash removal, making and stripping beds, and laundering and folding linens. All training, cleaning supplies and equipment will be provided by Tall Oaks.
All Jobs include:
Maintenance or Grounds assistance: assisting with maintenance and grounds as needed
Strong communication skills; communicating with guests and coworkers in order to maintain positive relations with all Tall Oaks groups
Summer Staff will be assigned 15-35 hours a week; the standard shift is 6 hours, and operating hours vary based on user group needs.
Other duties assigned by the Director of Hospitality, the Director of Communications and Administration, the Activities Director, or the Executive Director
Requirements
Qualifications:
Must be 18 years old before June 1, 2026 (for Lifeguards)
Must be 16 years of age before June 1st, 2026 (for Kitchen and Hospitality staff)
Lifeguard certified or willing to become certified
HS diploma preferred
Ability to lift and move 50 pounds, occasionally.
Ability to address stressful situations appropriately in a fast-paced, interactive environment.
Ability to work in an outdoor environment
