Sev1Tech is hiring a Level 2 Systems Engineer (RAM&T)
Are you an early-career engineer eager to grow in the defense and aerospace industry? Sev1Tech is looking for a motivated Level 2 Systems Engineer to join our Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Testability (RAM&T) team.
In this role, you'll support critical engineering efforts through data analysis, technical documentation, and model development. You'll receive structured, hands-on training in:
- Reliability block diagramming
- Reliability modeling
- Standard RAM&T methodologies

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assist in developing and maintaining Reliability Block Diagrams (RBDs) under the guidance of senior engineers.
Support reliability data collection and analysis activities, including failure data trending and component life estimation.
Contribute to preparation of reliability predictions, maintainability analyses, and testability reports.
Perform data entry, spreadsheet analysis, and report formatting for RAM&T deliverables and CDRLs.
Assist with FMECA/FMEA documentation and risk tracking.
Support availability calculations and basic statistical analysis using standard reliability tools (training provided).
Participate in design and test reviews as a RAM&T representative-in-training; document action items and technical notes.
Learn and apply relevant MIL standards and reliability engineering fundamentals (MIL-HDBK-217, MIL-STD-785, etc.).
Contribute to maintaining configuration of RAM&T data and digital artifacts in MBSE or digital engineering environments.
Responsibilities
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- Active secret clearance
- 2+ years' experience in engineering support role
Solid foundation in engineering principles and systems thinking.
Basic understanding of probability, statistics, and data analysis.
Strong analytical and organizational skills; attention to detail.
Proficiency with Excel and basic data visualization; interest in learning specialized reliability tools.
Clear communication and documentation skills.
- MUST BE US CITIZEN FOR GOVERNMENT CLEARANCE OR CONTRACT REQUIREMENT
Qualifications
Exposure to reliability or maintainability analysis in coursework, internships, or projects.
Familiarity with MATLAB, Python, or statistical analysis software.
Understanding of basic failure mechanisms in electronic or mechanical systems.
Motivated to learn RAM&T methodologies and pursue professional certification (ASQ CRE, CSEP).
