Description
Job Summary:
In this role, you will be responsible for executing tests of an electromechanical medical device following protocols, procedures and instructions that will often be written but sometimes will be verbally provided. This job may use reagents that are used on the medical device and sometimes run the instrument like an end user. Testing of subsystems, modules and components will also be required.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
Execute tests, collect and analyze data required for the design and verification of medical device instruments and consumables that are under development
Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the work area and lab.
Make suggestions to reduce test cycle time.
Write basic test execution scripts when required.
Document test results and write test reports.
Assist in the development of new tests, methods and/or techniques. Write and review test protocols.
Apply a working knowledge of statistical quality control and failure analysis techniques to evaluate data and results.
Interface with other departments to assist engineering in transitioning products from Engineering to production.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in an engineering or science discipline with 2 or more years of related experience. In lieu of a degree, at least 5 years of experience working in a technically oriented role similar to the one described in the job requirements and tasks described.
Working knowledge of good laboratory practices (GLP) or the ability to learn GLP.
Be knowledgeable and comfortable working with and safely disposing of chemical reagents.
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to learn and use engineering and chemical related analytical instruments such as, but not exclusive to, ohm and multimeters, highly precise thermometers, oscilloscopes, pH meters, goniometers, rheometers, differential scanning calorimeters, particle size analyzers, chromatographs, refractometers.
Must be able to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
Must be self-motivated.
Good communication skills for collaborating with Engineering team.
Must be able to work on-site in Merrimack, NH.
