Zebra Professional Services is seeking a technically versatile engineer to design and deliver enterprise solutions across warehouse, logistics, and specialized industry environments. The ideal candidate brings strong proficiency in Linux system administration and containerization technologies (Docker, container orchestration), along with foundational knowledge of RF principles and UHF RFID systems. Experience with Android platform development and familiarity with Python or Kotlin is advantageous. You will be responsible for end-to-end solution design, from initial requirements gathering through system integration and deployment, requiring the ability to analyse complex technical challenges and determine optimal approaches that balance innovation with practical customer needs.
This position demands strong interpersonal capabilities alongside technical expertise. You will lead requirements workshops, present architectural solutions to customers and internal stakeholders, and support pre-sales engagements-clear and confident communication is essential. Translates the client’s business requirements into specific systems, applications or process designs for complex IT solutions and integrating architecture. Ensures all work objectives have been met. Determines and develops approach to complex client solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Establishes requirements meetings and design programs for complex systems, applications or
process design projects. - Completes all phases of complex systems integration design projects.
Analyzes best approach to solving systems, applications or process design problems (innovation vs.
re-use) including best fit solution to customer requirements. - Provides direction for design activities and presenting to clients.
- Leads presentation of solutions to customers and internal audiences. Takes part in presentations to influence customers and market in pre-tender phase.
- Assists in negotiations with customers in pre sales phase.
- Leads negotiations with third party suppliers and in supplier selection process.
- Exercises independent judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Influences the activities of junior level personnel (exempt professional and non-exempt).
- Networks with senior, internal and external, personnel in own area of expertise. Frequent interorganizational and outside customer contacts
Qualifications:
Preferred Education:
- Bachelor's degree in an appropriate engineering discipline required.
Preferred Work Experience (years):
- 8+ years of engineering experience.
