Description
As a special machinery and stamping die builder we are seeking a Tool and Die maker with expert capability in running lathes, drill presses, grinders, and mills. Our work is non-repetitive and high-quality. We take pride in our craftsmanship and our quality.
We take care to ensure special machines and dies are machined and assembled correctly and made for longevity. Looking for someone to produce complex details while ensuring other team members supporting projects know how to complete details correctly. Do you have familiarity with or experience assembling machines and dies? Are you comfortable with asking for help when something is not clear? Do you look to continually save time in your work without sacrificing quality?
Job Responsibilities
Follow prints to produce complex details from steel and aluminum
Plan and determine the order of machining and assembly
Identify issues in manufacturing a print
Install bushings, bearings, cylinders and other actuators into projects
Selects correct machine tools and machines based on tolerances and detail drawings
Commit to teamwork and identifying the best ways to complete tasks
Operate machine tools to create complex details
Maintains a clean work area
Assists with other shop needs as necessary
Required Skills & Knowledge
Expert ability to runs lathes, mills, drill presses, and grinders
Knowledge of how to produce parts out of various grades of steel and aluminum
Excellent mathematical skills and mechanical aptitude
Demonstrates proficiency and ability to train others in the tool and die craft
Diligent work ethic
Personal precision and hand tools required
Continued willingness to learn new manufacturing methods and tools
Works well with a motivated, diverse staff
Valid driver’s license and forklift experience
Preferred Skills
Ability to analyze information and problem solve
Can handle projects and information in a confidential manner
Education and Experience
Required Experience :
Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience or 10 years of experience in a machine shop
Manufacturing experience in a tool room
Experience running machine tool equipment
Preferred Experience:
Technician experience
Experience assembling automated equipment
CNC operator
