Description
Transportation SpecialistTERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12-month employee, salary and work year as set by the BOE.
SALARY RANGE: $42,000 - 46,000.00
Annual Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with NJ State law and the provisions of the board's policy on evaluations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Associates Degree (preferred); High School Diploma (required);
CDL Class B License (preferred)
Minimum three (3) years of administrative experience;
Strong analytical, effective oral and written communication, and human relations skills;
Must have sound judgment and excellent organizational skills;
Have excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative;
Ability to build positive and effective relationships with students, parents, and the staff through effectively communicating to resolve matters with all stakeholders;
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. High level of interpersonal skills required to interact and effectively communicate with dispatch, employees, leaders, vendors, and others;
Detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines;
Ability to maintain efficient filing systems and retain confidential information without disclosures;
Knowledge of transportation software programs;
Excellent computer and technology skills with Microsoft Office and Google Suite;
Knowledge of standard office procedure and machinery, including copiers and similar office equipment;
Current residency in New Jersey, approved residency waiver, or the candidate agrees to obtain residency within one year of employment.
Exhibit a personality that demonstrates interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community.
Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish, both orally and in writing, using proper grammar and vocabulary.
Provide proof of U. S. citizenship or legal resident alien status by completing Federal Form I-9 in compliance with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986.
Provide evidence that a criminal record history check has been conducted and clearance has been given by the Department of Education. During the initial six-month period, provide a sworn statement that the individual has not been convicted of a crime or a disorderly person's offense in accordance with 18A:6-7.1.
Provide evidence that health is adequate to fulfill the job functions and responsibilities, with reasonable accommodation pursuant to 42 U.S.C. 12101 and in accordance with N.J.A.C. 6:3-4A.4.
Pass the state-required Mantoux Intradermal Tuberculin Test as required by N.J.A.C. 6:3-4A.4.
Meet such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.
