Description
Join our team as a Traveling Registered Nurse (RN) covering the vibrant Portland metropolitan area. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to provide compassionate and expert care across various healthcare settings in Gresham, Portland, Milwaukie, and Tigard. As a traveling RN, you'll play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care while enjoying the flexibility and diversity of working in multiple locations within the Portland metro region. Experience with behavioral health is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Oregon
- Minimum of 6 months of nursing experience, with experience in diverse clinical settings preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Ability to adapt to changing environments, prioritize tasks, and work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within the Portland metro area
- BLS/CPR certification (required); additional certifications may be preferred (e.g., ACLS, PALS)

Compensation Range: $48.00-$60.00/hour

Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment and Care: Conduct thorough patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and deliver exceptional nursing care to patients across different clinical settings.
- Treatment Implementation: Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to established protocols and physician orders, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Collaborative Care: Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care, communicate pertinent information, and ensure continuity of care across different healthcare facilities.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment plans, and self-care techniques to promote optimal health outcomes and empower patients in managing their health.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes, in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, evaluate patient outcomes, and contribute to enhancing the quality and effectiveness of nursing care delivery.
- Professional Development: Stay updated with current nursing practices, guidelines, and technologies through continuing education and professional development opportunities.
